Training Aim:
The aim of the Emergency First Aid Training programme is to provide learner with the knowledge, practical skills and understanding required to administer emergency first aid.
Learning Outcomes:
Learners who successfully complete this module will:
- List the responsibilities of an occupational first aider.
- Be able to provide treatment for the purpose of preserving life or minimising the consequence of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance.
- Be able to provide treatment in the workplace for an injury which does not require the attention of a medical practitioner or nurse.
Participant Profile:
Anyone who wishes to assist in Emergency First Aid.
Facilities: Classroom Facilities, with large space for practical demonstration.
