Manual Handling Risk Assessment

The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work, (General Applications) Regulations 2007, Chapter 4 of Part 2 set the minimum health and safety requirements for the manual handling of loads in the workplace.

Manual handling risk assessment must involve employee consultation in the process that will identified hazards and controls measures to reduce risk factors that can lead to manual handling and musculoskeletal injuries.

During the risk assessment the work area layout and the characteristics of specific tasks carried out in the work area, including weight of loads, frequency of handling the tasks and nature of loads will be assessed.

AMPM Safety & Environmental Ltd will ensure that the employees carrying out the Manual Handling activities are involved throughout the risk assessment process.

All findings and recommendations of the Manual Handling risk assessment will be communicated to all involved and any particular concerns will be addressed.
