VDU/DSE Erogomic Risk Assessment

The requirements that must be adhered to in relation to Display Screen Equipment are outlined under The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work, (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 5 of Part 2.

This legislation requires all employers undertake a VDU workstation for individuals using Display Screen Equipment.

VDU Risk Assessments assess the workstations and work environment for potential hazard and identify controls to reduce the level of risks. Employers must particular attention to eyesight, physical difficulties and mental stress and put in the precautions control any risks identified.

AMPM Safety & Environmental Ltd provides a VDU assessment service to all employers which is in line with current legislation. This process involves visiting the premises to carry out the VDU risk assessment.

Each workstation is individually assessed to take into account the hazards in the work location. A full report is then written for the employer recommending the necessary changes that need to be made to bring the employer in line with current legislation and VDU regulations

To arrange a VDU Workstation please contact Shane on 087 6418890 or shane@ampmsafety.ie
